Dark Web Marketplaces Facilitate Large-Scale Sale of Stolen Financial Data, Credentials, and Personal Information Across Multiple Platforms

Multiple dark web marketplaces are allegedly facilitating the large-scale sale of stolen financial credentials, payment card data, and personally identifiable information (PII) targeting US and international financial institutions, retailers, and consumers. Between September 18-24, 2026, threat actors operating marketplaces including DOC-SHOP, RavenCVV, WIZARD'S SHOP, DarkCC, and RobinShop allegedly advertised extensive inventories of compromised data including tens of thousands of bank credentials, credit card CVVs, fullz records, SSNs, passports, and identity documents. The claimed scale of compromised data—including over 42,000 comprehensive identity records and 9,400+ banking credentials from major US financial institutions—represents a significant threat to financial institutions and consumers. Organizations should enhance fraud detection capabilities, monitor for unauthorized account access, and implement additional authentication controls to mitigate the risk of account takeover and identity theft stemming from these alleged data exposures.
